Portfolio reviews

Portfolio Reviews prepares a proposal: the client's current portfolio against a proposed one, compared side by side, with your own notes. Nothing on this screen changes the client's actual holdings.

The sequence

A review moves through five steps, shown at the top of the screen: current portfolio, proposed portfolio, comparison, adviser notes and report.

Build the proposal

Choose a client with confirmed holdings. The holdings table lists each position with its account, value, domicile and expense ratio. A US-domiciled fund with a catalogued Irish UCITS counterpart can be swapped into the proposal; the counterpart's expense ratio and the annual withholding difference are shown beside it. Swap all and Keep all set every row at once. Accounts that cannot be reviewed yet, for example because they are still processing, are listed as excluded with the reason.

Compare

Current and proposed portfolios are compared on fund domicile, fees, US dividend withholding and US-situs estate exposure. Every figure comes from the same engines as the rest of the workspace; the proposal is a scenario, held apart from the client's records.

Notes and report

Write your observations and the rationale for the proposed changes. The draft is kept in this browser until the report is generated. Generate report creates a report with your notes in the adviser-authored section and the proposed swaps listed after them.

What a review does not do

A review does not place orders, rebalance or recommend. The counterparts come from a curated catalogue and are presented as structural alternatives; whether a change suits the client is your judgement.
