Reports
A report is the part of the work the client keeps. It is generated once from a stored snapshot, under your firm's name, with your commentary set apart from the system's analysis.
Generate a report
Generate a report from the client page, the Overview or a portfolio review. Give it a title, an optional reporting period and your notes for this review. The engines are read once and the result is stored with the report, together with the layout and style in force.
Sections
A report can contain:
- Executive portfolio summary: consolidated value, income and the client's accounts.
- Portfolio allocation: by fund domicile, currency and top positions.
- Holdings overview: every confirmed holding with value, weight and domicile.
- Performance summary: time- and money-weighted returns, gains, income and fees, where the ledger supports them.
- Dividends and fees: expected and received income, withholding and fees paid.
- Currency and fund-domicile exposure.
- Cross-border considerations: the findings with their assumptions and limitations.
- Relocation planning: printed only when a relocation is planned.
- Adviser notes: printed only when there are notes.
A closing section on data sources, assumptions and limitations always prints.
The firm's template
The owner sets the firm's report template in Settings: which sections appear and in what order, plus custom blocks written by the firm, such as a standing introduction or a description of the firm's process. Custom blocks print under a label naming the firm. A single report can override the template when it is generated.
Branding
| Element | Founding, Advisor | Practice | White Label |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firm name on the cover and in every page footer | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Name of the preparing adviser | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Firm logo and contact block | No | Yes | Yes |
| Document style: brand colour, accent, heading font, margins | No | Yes | Yes |
| Workspace on the firm's own domain | No | No | Yes |
| Borderfolio's name and crest removed | No | No | Yes |
On every plan, each page keeps the notice that the figures are not tax, legal or investment advice. The firm name on reports can differ from the workspace name.
Who said what
Adviser notes, relocation commentary and the firm's custom blocks print under labels naming who wrote them. The engine's analysis is never mixed into them, and your words are never attributed to the engine.
A document that does not change
Every download renders the stored snapshot, so the report sent in October is the report you can reopen in March, whatever statements arrived in between. A new review is a new report. The Reports screen lists every report across the firm with its client, period and generation date.
Last updated . Describes the product as built; figures are screening estimates, not tax, legal or investment advice.
