Billing & Refund Policy

Borderfolio for Advisors is currently offered under the Founding Adviser pilot. This page explains what that means for billing today and how billing, cancellation and refunds will work once fees apply. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. During the pilot

No public price list is published and no fee is charged unless agreed in writing with your firm. Pilot pricing is shared on request at [email protected] and, once agreed, is held for the first six months after general availability. Plan limits (adviser seats, active clients, statement imports per month, branded reports) exist in the workspace and are enforced there, but they do not create a charge by themselves. A new organisation starts on a trial.

2. When fees apply

Fees agreed with your firm are billed per organisation, monthly or annually as agreed, through Freemius, which acts as merchant of record; your receipt and card statement will show Freemius. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes, which Freemius calculates and collects where applicable. We may change prices for a renewal with at least 30 days' notice to organisation owners.

3. Cancellation

An owner may cancel at any time from the organisation's settings or by e-mail. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term; access continues until then and reports already generated remain downloadable for 30 days afterwards.

4. Refunds

The first paid term can be refunded in full if an owner asks within 14 calendar days of the charge, without giving a reason. Renewals and terms already under way are not refunded, except where we have failed to provide the Service for a sustained period or where applicable law requires a refund. Refunds are returned to the original payment method by Freemius, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

5. Requesting a refund

E-mail [email protected] from an owner's registered address with the organisation name and the Freemius order reference from your receipt. Please contact us before filing a chargeback; a dispute suspends the organisation while it is investigated.

6. Operator
